Architecture
This page showcases architecture that embodies the vision of
merging Art (architectural culture) and Technology (architectural techniques),
as expressed in our company name.
About
Although YKK AP is a producer of components, we believe that viewing and considering each building as a whole leads to better product development, and as such, we seek to embody our products in the Group’s buildings.
YKK AP is a manufacturer of architectural products like windows and doors, but at its core lies a philosophy that pursues the fusion of "Art (Architectural Culture)" and "Technology." The Kurobe site in Toyama Prefecture, positioned as the YKK Group’s "Technology Headquarters," features a world-class collection of buildings born from dialogue with numerous architects.
By moving a portion of our headquarters’ functions from Tokyo to Kurobe, where many of our employees reside, we will put into practice the role architecture should play in society. This will be achieved through projects tackling energy issues and contributing to open community development.
