YKK AP India Business: New Aluminum Extrusion Line Installed at Bhoruka Extrusions Mysuru Factory

YKK AP Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Akira Uozu) is pleased to announce that Bhoruka Extrusions Private Limited (Head Office: Karnataka, India), an affiliated company operating YKK AP’s Indian business, has undertaken the restructuring of its main manufacturing site, the Mysuru Factory. A new aluminum profile extrusion line has been installed, and a commissioning ceremony was held locally on October 8.

India’s construction market continues to expand against a backdrop of sustained economic growth, with demand for high-quality aluminum architectural products increasing year by year. Since joining the YKK AP Group in 2013, Bhoruka Extrusions has expanded its business along two principal axes: the Profile Business, which manufactures and sells aluminum profiles tailored to customers’ requirements for individual projects, including industrial products and curtain walls (CWs), and the AP Business, which manufactures and sells aluminum window products. Recent years have seen growing sales of high-value-added products, including the aluminum window product “IWIN-S,” and as such, the need to enhance the production system to meet future demand growth has emerged as a key challenge.

In light of these circumstances, and to realize the goal outlined in the 7th Mid-term Management Plan for our India operations, "becoming a high value, single-source systems firm," we will undertake capital investment totaling 620 million Indian rupees to enhance production capacity and improve production efficiency within the factory.
