YKK AP Acquires Shares in a German Window and Curtain Wall Manufacturer

1. Reason for Acquiring Shares

YKK AP has adopted "Transform Our Revenue Models" and "Create Value Through Technological Innovation" as business policies in its 7th Mid-term Management Plan, which covers the period FY2025–FY2028, and is working to expand the share of its business accounted for by overseas operations through further overseas business growth. As a priority measure in this regard, we are fully committed to building and expanding business in the European market, establishing YKK AP Europe in Germany on April 3, 2025.

In order to rapidly and vigorously develop our business in the European market, we determined that Seufert-Niklaus, a company with extensive experience in utilizing advanced technological capabilities for the engineering, manufacturing, and installation of high-quality wooden/aluminum windows, curtain walls, and wooden windows for commercial buildings, public facilities, and educational institutions in Germany, was the optimal partner for mutual growth. This led to our acquisition of shares in the company.

Going forward, we are considering a possible rollout of Seufert-Niklausʼ wooden window technology to Japan and other overseas business sites.
