YKK AP (CHINA) INVESTMENT CO., LTD. (Head Office: Shanghai, President: Akihiro Matsumoto), a local subsidiary of YKK AP Inc., is pleased to announce the establishment of a new company, YKK AP Shanghai International Trading, which commenced operations on July 1, to strengthen its procurement capabilities for global business expansion.

YKK AP (SHANGHAI) INTERNATIONAL TRADING was established to strengthen procurement capabilities for the expansion of the YKK AP Group’s global business in the mid-priced product segment. By leveraging China’s state-of-the-art technologies and diverse supply chain to procure materials, parts, and components from companies in China, we aim to strengthen product appeal and cost competitiveness by supplying such goods to our manufacturing sites in China, the rest of Asia, and Japan.

YKK AP began operations in China in 1999 and currently has three manufacturing sites and ten sales offices in the country. In addition to windows and sashes intended primarily for the Chinese market, these facilities produce components, curtain walls, and vinyl profiles for the Japanese market as a global manufacturing and supply site. The YKK AP brand is highly regarded in China, having been the first foreign company to win the "Architectural Windows and CW Industry Brand List, Top 10 Windows Brands" for eight consecutive years.
