Global Business Development
What is required from the architectural products manufactured by YKK AP varies depending on the climate, geography, and culture of each country and region. To meet these needs, we are committed to developing and manufacturing products in each country and region, while conducting business operations that are rooted in local communities. The technologies developed at each of our companies are consolidated at our R&D Center in Japan and then deployed horizontally across countries and regions, continuing to create values worldwide, backed by technology.

Japan
Our domestic operations in Japan include the Residential Business, which provides windows, doors, and interior products for single-family houses; the Exterior Business, which offers total coordination for buildings and exteriors; the Commercial Business, which supplies curtain walls for non-wooden multi-family residences and office buildings; the global curtain wall business, which provides facades for high-rise construction worldwide; and the aluminum profile business, which supplies aluminum profiles to support industrial sectors.
Furthermore, we are working to accumulate and deploy knowledge, information, and technology not only in Japan but also as a global headquarters for product development, technical research, and manufacturing.
<Mid-term Growth Strategy & Vision>
To achieve the objectives of the 7th Mid-term Business Policy, "Transform Our Revenue Models" and "Create Value Through Technological Innovation," we will shift our focus to the residential remodeling and commercial renovation sectors and promote the adoption of windows with higher thermal insulation performance. We will establish and expand specialized departments in the renovation and remodeling sectors to strengthen our sales structure. We will also aim to increase sales of vinyl windows, wooden windows, and aluminum-vinyl composite windows for residential use, while expanding our lineup of high thermal insulation products for the Commercial Business. At manufacturing sites, we will advance efficiency improvements and cost reductions by leveraging digital technology to establish unmanned nighttime operations and promote the platforming of production lines.
We are also working to create high-value-added products through new technologies and ventures, such as developing building integrated photovoltaics and entering the healthcare and landscape businesses.
North America
We design, manufacture, and sell products centered on commercial aluminum building products for the Commercial Business and residential vinyl windows for the Residential Business. We offer products that meet regional needs such as thermal insulation products that lead environmental policy, safety products that address the increasing risk of hurricanes and more, and unit curtain walls that address labor shortages.
<Mid-term Growth Strategy & Vision>
YKK AP AMERICA has established its 7th Mid-term Management Plan, calls for "Developing a Next Generation Business Foundation & Accelerate Growth toward Evolution 2030." In the Commercial Business, we aim to expand sales in the eastern part of the U.S.A. by strengthening customer service and introducing new products. In addition, the Los Angeles branch and regional manufacturing sites will be utilized to establish a greater presence in the western part of the U.S.A., thereby promoting business development throughout North America. In the Residential Business, we will utilize the Macon Factory to strengthen sales in untapped areas in six southern states, and aim to grow sales by introducing hurricane-resistant products.
China
In China, we design, manufacture, and sell aluminum and aluminum profile thermal insulation products, meeting the needs of both the domestic and international markets. Our Chinese locations serve as a global manufacturing and supply base for producing windows, curtain walls, and components. For the Japanese market, they also manufacture vinyl profiles, operating a business that meets diverse needs through an efficient production system and supply network.
<Mid-term Growth Strategy & Vision>
The 7th Mid-term Management Plan calls for "Expanding Businesses with Domestic Demand and Establishing a Revenue Structure."
As a priority measure, we will address businesses with domestic demand by leveraging the cost competitiveness of YKK AP (Jiangsu), an aluminum profile manufacturing site established in September 2024. In the mid-price range housing market, we will work to expand sales of anodized aluminum products, develop new customers, and expand sales in the renovation business, while at the same time developing the CW market.
Asia
Having manufacturing bases in Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand, and India, which are rapidly growing markets, we are developing products and business models tailored to each country and region.
For example, YKK AP TAIWAN CO., LTD. is recognized as a company that offers top brands, such as window frames with high watertight performance suited to the area's frequent typhoons. Also focuses on training construction partners to further improve construction quality.
PT YKK AP INDONESIA serves as a research and manufacturing base in Asia, offering design, manufacturing, and sales of aluminum materials and aluminum sliding doors, primarily targeting the domestic Indonesian and broader Asian markets.
In India, Bhoruka Extrusions Private Limited is engaged in the extrusion and sales businesses of aluminum materials, which are its primary domains, as well as in the development of aluminum window products, mainly targeting luxury multiple-dwelling residences.
<Mid-term Growth Strategy & Vision>
YKK AP TAIWAN will expand the scale of its business by creating demand for further growth, expanding its product range, and strengthening its ability to handle super high-rise commercial building projects. In addition, it will increase production by developing new products, further streamlining production lines, and strengthening its production system, as it aims to become the top brand in Taiwan.
YKK AP INDONESIA will expand the lineup of "NEXSTA," a core product for the high-end market, variants and penetrate the market by broadening the target segments for knockdown products. In addition, it plans to expand sales of new products such as aluminum carports and strengthen its one-building set proposals, including knockdown products, thereby achieving higher added value while expanding sales. Meanwhile, it will promote productivity improvements by upgrading its manufacturing infrastructure.
Bhoruka Extrusions will increase sales by expanding target areas and offering value-added proposals to customers in the Profile Business. In the System Business, we will contribute to further improvement of living environments by offering more variants of our core products, strengthening our ability to respond to projects, and entering the major urban center market.
