Q Are advance reservations or tickets required?
A No reservations are required to visit the Museum. However, groups of 10 or more are requested to make reservations by email or telephone. Reservations are accepted from two months to three days before the planned date of the Museum visit.
Q Is there an admission fee?
A Viewing the exhibits is free of charge. Items in the Museum’s vending machines are charged. A 100-yen coin is required to use a coin-operated locker (coin returned after use).
Q Is parking available? Is there space for bus parking?
A Parking is available for up to 20 cars and one bus (free of charge).
Q Are wheelchairs or baby strollers allowed in the Museum?
A
Yes. The Museum building is barrier-free. Use elevators to move from floor to floor.
Additionally, two wheelchairs and two baby strollers are available for visitors to borrow.
Q How long does it take to view the exhibits?
- Quick tour (60 min.)
- A quick tour of the exhibits divided into four eras. Recommended for those in a hurry.
- Full tour (90 min.)
- A tour of the exhibits divided into four eras and of the Hall of YKK AP Predecessors. Gives visitors the time needed to look at the exhibits.
- In-depth tour (120 min.)
- A tour of the exhibits divided into four eras and of the Hall of YKK AP Predecessors. Gives visitors even more time to look at the exhibits in detail, taking breaks when needed.
Q Can I take pictures?
A Photography is prohibited in the exhibition areas. Photography is permitted in some areas (around the reception desk on the first floor, in the Atrium, and on the main stairs).
Q Does the Museum have a cafe or a dining area?
A No. Beverages are available from the vending machines. Eating and drinking is permitted in some areas (in the Atrium and in the library area).
